The Production Process of the Paper-Making Machine:
After sizing, filling, and cleaning, pulp with suitable papermaking properties enters the pulp flow equipment of the paper machine at a concentration of 0.3%-1.3%. Furthermore, after the paper passes through the pulp flow distributor and the pulp headbox to distribute and level the pulp, the paper flows uniformly and steadily to the wire surface of the forming wire moving there. After the pulp flows onto the wire on the wire shell near the centerline of the breast roll, it is gradually filtered and dewatered to form a continuous wet web. The clean box is generally equipped with forming and de-drying components, such as box rolls, vacuum pump moisture absorption boxes, and couch rolls. When the wet paper web is dewatered to a certain dryness (usually about 20%), it can be peeled off from the paper web and sent to the press section for further dewatering.
The Structure Principle of the Paper-Making Machine:
A paper-making machine can be regarded as a linkage consisting of multiple pieces of equipment. It is usually divided into two parts: the wet part and the dry part. The wet end includes the stock flow equipment, the wire section, and the press section; the dry end consists of the dryer section, calendars, and reels.
The press section of a paper machine consists of several sets of roll presses. The press draws the wet paper web felt and dewatered by mechanical pressing between the press rolls. To maintain the excellent dewatering performance of the press felt, the upper press roll is equipped with a felt washing device. After the press section, the dryness of the wet paper web is generally about 40%.
The wet paper web is usually further dewatered on the paper machine by heating, evaporation, and drying. The dryer section of a paper machine usually consists of several drying cylinders heated from the inside by steam. The dryer cylinder is covered with a dry felt (or canvas, dryer wire) to press the paper web tightly against the surface of the dryer cylinder, thereby improving the heat transfer efficiency and the surface quality of the paper web. After drying, a 6-8 roll calendar is usually used to improve the surface quality of the web.
